MANHATTAN (KSNT) — Crews with the City of Manhattan have filled almost 5,000 potholes during its Pothole Blitz project.

The city announced on social media Friday that since Tuesday, May 14, crews have fixed 4,943 potholes in Manhattan. This is part of a Pothole Blitz project, where the city's goal is to patch every pothole in the Little Apple. According to the social media post, crews have reached almost 50% of their goal.

The city will follow its 2024 Spring Cleanup map and schedule when planning its Pothole Blitz. Crews will start on the southwest part of Manhattan and work their way clockwise during the week to the southwest part of town, weather permitting, according to the city. Signage will be used throughout Manhattan, and residents should expect work zones to move periodically as crews move to new areas of town.
