Flight delays continue at JFK Airport on Memorial Day

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – Flight delays at JFK Airport have continued into the evening Monday, according to the FAA.

JFK Airport has departure delays averaging 75 minutes as of 8:58 p.m., according to the FAA.

Thunderstorms caused flights to be temporarily grounded at both JFK Airport and LaGuardia Airport Monday afternoon. The ground stop was eventually lifted by the evening and flights resumed with delays.

Newark Liberty International Airport also experienced flight delays on Memorial Day.
