Report: Premier League rivals are ready to challenge Spurs for exciting winger
It has now emerged that at least three clubs are interested in signing rumoured Tottenham target Callum Hudson-Odoi, with one of those thought to be a Champions League side.
Hudson-Odoi has had a fabulous first season at Nottingham Forest after his move from Chelsea last summer, with the winger’s displays at the City Ground thought to have piqued the interest of a few sides.
It was reported last week by TEAMtalk, that while Forest would like to keep hold of the 23-year-old, they would have to consider offers for him due to FFP considerations, with Spurs said to be circling over the player.
A couple of days ago, The Guardian also backed up Tottenham’s interest in securing Hudson-Odoi this summer.
It was explained that the Lilywhites passed up on the chance to sign the player last summer but have changed their mind after seeing his brilliant displays this season, with Ange Postecoglou’s men now thought to be intent on bringing the former Chelsea man to N17.
Three Premier League clubs want Callum Hudson-Odoi
Journalist Matt Ford has now revealed that Tottenham are facing competition from at least two other Premier League clubs for Hudson-Odoi, including a Champions League side.
He told Sky Sports News: “We’ve got a bit of breaking news for you that concerns Nottingham Forest and Callum Hudson-Odoi who finished the season very strong for Forest.
“We’re hearing three unnamed Premier League clubs are interested in signing Hudson-Odoi. One of those is understood to be a Champions League club, so one of Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City or Aston Villa apparently interested.
“He scored eight goals in 20 Premier League starts last season and he’s about to enter the last two years of his contract.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Hudson-Odoi was always likely to generate plenty of interest when he was put on the shop window. A move to Tottenham could be quite appealing for the winger, particularly if Ange Postecoglou can explain to the 23-year-old why he would thrive in his system.
