George Valera doubled and walked, Jhonkensy Noel singled and walked, and Micah Pries went 2-for-4.
Starting pitcher McCaughan allowed four runs on seven hits in five innings. She walked three and struck out one. Mason Hickman struck out two in a scoreless inning. Tanner Burns closed out the game with 1 2⁄3 scoreless innings and a strikeout.

Akron got some excellent starting pitching performances, but was unable to score a single run in either game of a double-header on Sunday.
In game one, Ryan Webb allowed two runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and no walks in five innings.

Micael Ramirez went 2-for-3 and Christian Cairo doubled, but that was the extent of the team’s offense.
In game two, Aaron Davenport gave up one run (zero earned) on four strikeouts and three walks with four hits in 4 2⁄3 innings. Andrew Walters struck out the only batter he faced.
Cairo went 1-for-1 in a pinch-hit performance. Dayan Frias doubled.

The big blow of the game was from Alex Mooney, who blasted a grand slam with his lone hit.

The only other player to reach base safely twice was Jose Devers, who went 1-for-3 with a walk.
Starting pitcher Carter Spivey allowed six runs (three earned) on six hits with five strikeouts and no walks in seven innings.
Zach Jacobs and Magnus Ellerts closed out the victory with a scoreless inning each to earn a hold and a save.
