Cyclone Remal claims six lives in West Bengal
Cyclone Remal has caused six deaths in Bangladesh, with three confirmed deaths so far. The 'Severe Cyclonic Storm Remal' has weakened into a 'Cyclonic Storm', with South 24 Parganas district being the most affected. The cyclone has caused significant disruptions in air, rail, and road transportation in Kolkata and other parts of southern Bengal. Over 300 houses have been damaged, 1,200 electric poles have been uprooted, and houses and farmlands have been flooded.
