Jamestown man accused of violating court order, striking police officer

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A 39-year-old Jamestown man allegedly violated a court order of protection by threatening to kill an unnamed victim on Sunday, the Jamestown Police Department said.

At 12:59 p.m., officers responded to an east side residence for an unwanted male complaint. Officials said Brandon Jimerson smashed out the victim's window to his residence.

Before officers arrived, Jimerson allegedly fled the scene but was located shortly after. When officers attempted to take him into custody, he allegedly fled and struck an officer in the face with a closed fist, according to police. Jimerson was then tased and placed into custody.

The struck officer sustained bruising to the face but did not require medical attention.

Jimerson is being held at the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.

He was charged with the following:

  • First-degree criminal contempt
  • Fourth-degree criminal mischief
  • Resisting arrest
  • Second-degree harrassment
  • Second-degree assault (police officer)
