Journalist Abdellah Boulma has now reported that Tottenham Hotspur have expressed an interest in Rennes sensation Desire Doue ahead of the summer transfer window.
It has been widely reported over the last few months that Spurs are looking to bolster their midfield this summer and a new name has now been put forward as a potential target for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Doue, who came through the Rennes academy and made his senior debut for the club last season, has come on leaps and bounds over the last 12 months.
Despite being just 18 years of age, he has established himself as a vital cog in the Ligue 1 club’s midfield and his impressive displays at Roazhon Park have seemingly attracted plenty of attention.
Competition mounting for Rennes’ Desire Doue
Boulma has revealed that Rennes are now increasingly prepared to lose Doue this summer as many clubs start circling around the youngster.
The journalist names Tottenham as one of the clubs who have explored a move to sign the midfield prodigy from the northwest of France.
He reveals that Postecoglou’s men would face plenty of competition for the France Under-21 international, who is also said to be on the radars of Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

I would not be surprised if PSG act quickly and secured Doue’s services before other clubs could make any progress.
The Ligue 1 giants have been trying to sign all the best young talents in French football before they explode at the highest level and they would view this summer as the opportune moment to secure the Rennes youngster.
