CT man undergoes emergency surgery after being shot in the head in Stamford
A Connecticut man is in stable condition after being shot in the head in Stamford on Sunday, police said.
Patrol officers responded to a report of a man shot in the head on Spruce Street around 2:52 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Stamford Police Department.
As officers arrived at the scene they found the victim, a 20-year-old Stamford man, with a gunshot wound to the side of his head, police said.
The man was transported to Stamford Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery, according to police. Police said he was listed in stable condition on Sunday evening.
“Several unidentified individuals were present at the time of the incident and were seen running away from the scene,” police said.
