Libertarian leader stuns MSNBC reporter by describing how much she hates Trump

A high-ranking official within the Libertarian Party made it abundantly clear in an interview with MSNBC that she will never vote for Donald Trump despite his appearance at her party's national convention.

Caryn Ann Harlos, who is running as a candidate for a state Senate seat in Colorado and is a member of the Libertarian National Committee, helped organize the convention being held at the Washington Hilton and said she appreciated everyone who showed up.

In her interview with MSNBC's Julie Tsirkin, she admitted that she is not a fan of former President Donald Trump who was jeered and booed by attendees to the point where he fled the stage after a brief 34 minutes.

According to Harlos, she would rather mutilate herself than vote for the ex-president, an admission which startled both Tsirkin and MSNBC host Alex Witt.

"I think it is fantastic that he wants to come talk to Libertarians because it means our voice is getting heard," she told Tsirkin. "I'm going to tell you, I mean, I'm not a Trump fan whatsoever but the fact is that powerful people want to hear what we have to say and take it into consideration."

Turning back to host Witt, Tsirkin noted Harlos was one of the convention organizers before reporting, "I asked if there was something that Trump could say to make her vote for him because you know the former president is there looking for voters that want to vote for a third party and who are disillusioned with Democrats and Republicans. And she told me, Alex, this is her quote: She would 'rather eat her own foot out of a bear trap than vote for Trump.'"

"Okay, that's harsh but thank you," a stunned Witt replied.
