YouTube Gold: Chris Duhon’s Duke Highlights
Duhon doesn’t get the attention some other Blue Devils get, but he was a great Blue Devil
At this point, Chris Duhon is probably an underappreciated member of the Brotherhood, so it’s probably a good time to look at his career highlights.
Duhon came to Duke in 2000 and became a starter in his freshman. year, giving the Blue Devils, along with Jason Williams, a double point-guard backcourt.
He had a lot of memorable plays in his career, including two epic buzzer beaters: one at Wake Forest and a famous dash up court at UNC for the winning basket.
In his freshman year, Duke got to the finals where they met Arizona and won the national championship.
What a lot of people may not know is that Williams had told Duhon that he always imagined throwing the ball into the air when the buzzer went off after winning a championship - and Duhon gave that moment to him. He was a solid teammate.
He was a bridge between the Battier-Williams era and the JJ Redick-Shelden Williams teams and as a senior, despite a painful injury, he led the team back to the Final Four, losing to UConn 79-78 in the semifinals.
