Police: Pedestrian struck in Bridgeport; driver stays at scene
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while walking in Bridgeport on Saturday evening, police said.
Officers responded to the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Clinton Avenue, where the pedestrian had been hit, about 6:45 p.m. according to the Bridgeport Police Department.
The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment for their injuries, police said. The person who hit them stayed at the scene and an investigation was ongoing.
