Can the Reds really pull off a sweep of the powerhouse Dodgers?

After yesterday’s pitching masterpiece by Hunter Greene and the Cincinnati bullpen, the Reds will once again lean into their depth of arms in the series finale against the Los Angeles Dodgers - this time with a series sweep on the line.

Brent Suter will toe the rubber first for the Reds in a game that will surely see manager David Bell lean hard into his platoony matchups both offensively and within the pitching game. Hopefully, the Reds can continue to keep down this dynamite Dodger offense and take home a much, much needed series sweep.

The Reds will be tasked with figuring out prized free agent pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Since a bumpy first start in the US, Yamamoto has pitched to a tidy 2.38 ERA/2.94 FIP in 53.0 IP across 9 starts, the kind of form that makes today’s banged-up Cincinnati lineup look rather vulnerable.
