BALAMORY’s Miss Hoolie has a brand new career that’s worlds away from her BBC fame.
The beloved children’s TV star came to prominence when she played the school teacher in the hit series.
It launched all the way back in 2002 and ran for four seasons before coming to an end in 2005.
Julie – who goes by the name Jules, has remained on television fronting numerous programmes but now has a new career on the side.
She runs a ‘Soulful Sunday’ class on Scottish beaches Ruby Bay and Elie.
The groups, which are run throughout the country, promote yoga and sea swimming as a natural form of therapy.
Speaking about why she got into the mindful lessons, Jules said: “Yoga and CWT has changed my life for the better, I’m addicted to how much better I feel and now want to help people feel better through it too!
“Biggest impact too is all the beautiful people I have met through yoga and dippin is life changing.”
Meanwhile, the 52-year-old recently returned to the fictional Balamory island – actually called Tobermory.
However, instead of donning her trusted green coat Jules was actually there for an open sea swimming competition.
Jules and her husband Greg Hemphill previously opened up about their sex lives with Greg confessing to being a flop between the sheets when it came to intimate time with his wife.
He confessed that taking Viagra had done wonders for his marriage as it had allowed him to ‘perform’ again.
Greg told his wife on their show: “I’ll be absolutely honest with you, I’ve admired your honesty up until now where you’ve been talking about the menopause and stuff like that.
“I think the male equivalent of that truly is, I can’t really put it into words because I get too mortified.”
