Fire at residential building in Delhi's Shahdara, 13 people rescued

A fire broke out at a residential building in Azad Nagar West, Shahdara, Delhi, late Saturday night, according to police. Firefighters promptly arrived and rescued 13 people, who were then taken to a hospital. Fire Officer Rajendra Atwal noted that the single exit posed significant challenges during the rescue. Earlier the same night, a massive fire occurred at a New Born Baby Care Hospital in East Delhi's Vivek Vihar. Firefighters extinguished the fire, rescuing 11 newborns and relocating them to another hospital. Further details are awaited.
