RCSO: Two Troy men arrested on drug, weapon charges

According to the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office, two Troy men are facing both drug and weapons charges.

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- According to the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office, two Troy men are facing both drug and weapons charges. David Landfear, 38, and Landers Burton, 24, were arrested following the execution of a search warrant on May 17.

Charges

Landfear:

• Second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
• Criminal possession of a narcotic drug with intent to sell
• Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance

Burton:

• Criminal possession of a firearm
• Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
• Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
• Tampering with physical evidence

Upon execution of the search warrant at a Troy home, police reported finding Landfear with approximately 66 grams of heroin, fentanyl, and suboxone, about 22 grams of methamphetamine, scales, packaging, and U.S. currency. Police also say they found Burton with a semi-automatic handgun and that they found an additional semi-automatic handgun in the house.

Both suspects were arraigned in Troy City Court with Burton having his bail set at $25,000 cash or $250,000 partially secured bond. Landfear was released on probation supervision.
