EGPD seeking to identify car theft suspects

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The East Greenbush Police Department is asking for help from residents of Hampton Manor regarding a stolen car. Anyone with security footage or photos of the incident is encouraged to contact Officer Witko at (518) 479-2525.

Police say that on Saturday morning, a person living on Maryland Avenue East went to her car around 7 a.m. and found it was stolen overnight. The keys were left in the car and it was unlocked.

Police report responding and filing a report of the incident. At approximately 9:51 a.m., police say that the victim found her stolen car with three suspects inside of it on Spring Avenue East, which is two blocks away from where her car originally was.

The victim confronted the suspects and they fled on foot. Police say they believe the suspects were in the area from 4 a.m. until patrols arrived just before 10 a.m. According to the police, the car was recovered but they are asking for help identifying the three victims pictured below:

Police describe the suspects as three black males in their late teens or early 20s with hoods up and one wearing a ski mask. All three suspects were reportedly wearing white sneakers.
