Pot Noodles has released a new chicken fajita flavour

The exciting new flavour was spotted on shelves in Asda and the retailer has 12 week exclusive on the lunchtime essential.

The chicken fajita flavour was shared on Facebook in the Newfoodsuk group with fans saying they couldn’t wait to try it.

One shopper said: “These look nice.”

“NEED,” said someone another.

A third user said: “Omg need to try this.”

“Yes and now,” said a fourth user.

However, it seems there were a few other popular flavours fans wanted back.

One user said: “Bring back the Reggae Reggae one.”

“Wish they’d bring back the sizzler flavour,” said someone else.

However, Pot Noodles did confirm they consulted with fans before deciding which new favour to launch in stores.

The brand said the new flavour which is “inspired by Mexican cuisines” beat out both  Pepperoni Pizza and Full English-flavoured noodles in a poll online.

The X, formerly known as Twitter, post received 131,588 votes with Chicken Fiajita swaying 48% of the voters.

Pot Noodle said the new flavour was “voted for by consumers” and believes it is a “great option for a satisfying lunch.”

A controversial flavour made its way back to shops last Christmas

Pot Noel King Pot Christmas Dinner was spotted on shelves after being discontinued for 12 years.

The flavour is supposed to taste like gravy and stuffing inspired by the traditional turkey meal on December 25.

Last year Pot Noodles announced it was making a huge change to one of the iconic snacks.

The food giant has trialled paper packaging on its chicken and mushroom flavour pots at Tesco.

Around 500,000 pots were part of the trial, which lasted for a limited time,  made from 90% paper.

How to save on your supermarket shop

THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.

You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they’ve been reduced.

If the food is fresh, you’ll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money, as you’ll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.

Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.

This means ditching “finest” or “luxury” products and instead going for “own” or value” type of lines.

Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they’re misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you’re on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.

Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.
