News and Notes: Angels Pitch to Jose Ramirez, Regret It
News and Notes for Saturday, May 25th, 2024
The Guardians brought their bats to Anahiem and beat the Angels 10-4 on Friday night to open the weekend series and win their seventh straight game.
Jose Ramirez went 2 for 4 with a walk and two home runs, in back to back innings, and the latter as part of a back-to-back-to-back sequence of homers with Josh Naylor and David Fry.

Andres Gimenez was 2 for 4, Fry was 2 for 3 with two walks, Kyle Manzardo and Gabriel Arias both hit doubles, and Brayan Rocchio got a couple walks. Angels pitching walked seven and gave up 10 hits, so that was a warm welcome.
Logan Allen gave up some solo homers and walked two guys but struck out seven and made it through five and two-thirds before Tim Herrin and Pedro Avila finished things off.
The Guardians look to make it eight in a row tonight as they try to figure out Jose Soriano, who shut them down in April. Tanner Bibee will throw for Cleveland.
