Report: Spurs man remains in Postecoglou’s plans despite transfer rumours

TEAMtalk have revealed that despite rumours linking Radu Dragusin with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur, the centre-back very much remains in Ange Postecoglou’s plans.

The outlet points out that since Dragusin’s agent admitted a couple of weeks ago that his client is not overly pleased with his lack of game time in North London, the defender has been heavily linked with a return to Serie A.

However, TEAMtalk say that despite what we hear from the Italian media on the matter, Spurs are not considering listening to offers for the 22-year-old this summer.

It is alleged that Dragusin is very much in Postecoglou’s plans for next season as the Australian looks to put together a squad which can compete on multiple fronts.

The Tottenham head coach is said to be ‘determined’ to keep the former Genoa man at the club as he sees him as a ‘vital member’ of the squad.

The report suggests that there is a belief at Hotspur Way that Dragusin will find his feet at N17 next season and become an important player for the side.

Finally, the publication adds that Tottenham’s pursuit of a centre-back this summer is not linked to the Romanian’s future, with Postecoglou wanting four top-class central defenders at his disposal.

The Dragusin rumours always seemed quite baseless as it sounds quite far-fetched that Tottenham would listen to offers for a player they signed just a few months ago. Besides, the 22-year-old finished the season strongly and it is extremely unlikely that he will push to leave the club.
