Opening on June 15, 91 Athens Riviera is the second opening after Domes Novos Santorini last month, and last year’s  Halkidiki, Milos and Mykonos.

Each of the 28 glamping cabanas has a super king bed – and also have an outdoor deck with either a private pool or lush gardens.

Just a few steps away, however, is the beach.

The most basic cabanas start from €447 a night for two adults, which comes with a super king size bed and garden.

if you want your own plunge pool, you can pay €514 a night, while a family cabana with plunge pool (sleeping four plus an infant) starts from €604 a night.

This works out to around €151pp (£130pp) a night.

However, you’ll have to book fast for these rates, with the launch offer only available until June 4.

But they also come with some limited time welcome amenities, including a bottle of wine and fruit basket in the rooms.

The resort also has the Barbarossa beachside eatery, serving Mediterranean cuisine with an “Asian-inspired flair”.

This is where you’ll not only find the all-day poolside menu, but also craft cocktails.

There is also a Soma Spa with steam room, sauna , hamman and treatment rooms, as well as sunrise yoga, sunset Pilates and gyms with private trainers

Otherwise guests can take advantage of the resort’s eight private tnenis courts with instructors on-hand and a nearby tennis clubhouse.

To get to the glamping resorts, Brits can fly to Athens from a number of UK airports although the cheapest flights and with Ryanair from London Stansted, starting from £36.

If you fancy exploring the capital, there is lots to do.

The most famous attraction is the marble-pillared Parthenon in the Acropolis museum.

For the best views, there is a funicular to the top of  Mount Lycabettus otherwise there are 22 neighbourhoods to explore through Athens with cool bars and restaurants.

One of those neighbourhoods has been compared to the island of Santorini.

Anafiotika is tucked away from the main area, but tourists have raved about the quaint white and blue houses.

If you still want the beach, Athenian Riviera is just 25 minutes from the city by metro.

You might even spot some celebs, with Leonard DiCaprio and Meryl Streep previously being spotted there.

The Sun’s Kate Wickers recently visited Athens – here’s what she thought.

And set to open in 2026 is the Ellinikon Project, a £6.8billion seaside resort in Athens that’s been compared to Dubai.

Built on the former airport site, inside will be hotels, shopping centres, huge park and restaurants and even a yacht harbour.
