Royals vs. Rays Friday game thread
Matt Quatraro returns to Tampa/St. Pete
The Royals take their six-game winning streak to the Florida Gulf Coast where they take on the Tampa Bay Rays this weekend. The Rays have a losing record and have actually overperformed their run differential, but they won 99 games last year.
Seth Lugo brings his league-leading 1.79 ERA to tonight’s game.

Tampa Bay goes with Shawn Armstrong as an opener. He’s given up four runs in four innings in three previous opener outings. Lefty Tyler Alexander, who carried a perfect game into the eight innings in his last game against the Blue Jays, is expected to pitch the bulk innings.
