Hudson-Odoi lined up for Champions League transfer with Nottingham Forest set to rake in TEN TIMES fee they paid Chelsea
NOTTINGHAM FOREST are braced for a bidding war for Callum Hudson-Odoi when the transfer window opens next month.
Tottenham Hotspur lead a three-way chase for the 23-year-old who signed off for the season with three goals in Forest’s final three games.
Callum Hudson-Odoi is attracting interest from three clubs, including Tottenham[/caption]Ange Postecoglou sees the pacy frontman as a perfect fit for his attack-minded Spurs side but faces competition from at least two other Premier rivals.
Forest want to keep Hudson-Odoi but must complete at least one major sale by the end of June to avoid breaching Profit and Sustainability rules again.
Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side were docked four points for breaching the Premier League’s tough financial rules last season and want to avoid a similar fate this season.
They will have to consider selling one of their golden nuggets, with Morgan Gibbs-White and Brazilian defender Murillo by far their biggest assets.
Both are valued by the club at £70million and would ease Forest’s financial burden at a stroke if someone comes in with a firm bid early in the window.
However Hudson-Odoi’s value has soared to £30m – around TEN TIMES the fee they paid Chelsea to land him last September.
He was hampered by injury in the early stages of last season but bounced back to hit top form, scoring eight goals in 20 starts.
Forest are hoping a three-way bidding war might encourage interested clubs to make their move for Hudson-Odoi early and bump his price up.

Anthony Elanga and Brazilian midfielder Danilo are both valued at £35m by Forest and could also attract interest this summer.
But despite rumours linking him with Bayern Munich and other top clubs, Espirito Santo retains owner Evangelos Marinakis’s faith and is expected to start the new season at the City Ground.
