FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Friday evening!

Warm & sunny weather has returned to Central Ohio to end off the work week and welcome us in to the long holiday weekend. Skies will remain fairly dry through the rest of tonight, but a system brewing off to our west is eyeing Central Ohio as we go into the weekend.

Clouds will move in and out of our area through the rest of this evening and into tonight. Spotty showers will be moving closer to Central Ohio through tonight, but will taper off right as they reach I-75. Clouds will still be around to start off Saturday with temperatures in the mid 60s.

There is the chance we see a few scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder for Saturday afternoon. Storms could pick up a little more closer to I-77 and western Pennsylvania, so we could see a few more and some steadier storms as the evening rolls around for eastern Ohio.

Sunday will start off with dry weather, but chances for storms returns later in the day. These storms have a better potential to be stronger, but that risk is highest off to the west. Better chances for wet and stormy weather will move in a few hours past sundown and last going into Memorial Day. For the holiday itself, we're still looking at an on and off chance of rain with some dry time by the afternoon and evening.

Rain chances taper for the middle of next week before sunshine returns for next Thursday and Friday. Temperatures dip as low as the upper 60s for the middle of next week, but are back in the 70s by next weekend.
