DeFazio's takes over Indian Ladder Farms Pizza Garden

ALTAMONT, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- DeFazio's Pizzeria is the new operator of the Pizza Garden at Indian Ladder Farms. The Pizza Garden officially opens for the season on Saturday, May 25.

"This collaboration just makes sense,” said Laura Ten Eyck, manager of Indian Ladder Farms. “We’re both family-owned businesses with something special that you can only find at our establishments."

Indian Ladder Farms opened the Pizza Garden in September 2023. The space sits 200 people and overlooks the orchard. The Pizza Garden also has a bar of Indian Ladder Farms beer and hard cider.

The DeFazio's menu at the Pizza Garden includes seven different pizzas including cheese, pepperoni, vegan, cacio pepe, arugula and prosciutto, apple streusel, and a garden pie. You can view the full menu on the Indian Ladder Farms website.

DeFazio's has been serving wood-fired pizza to the Capital Region since 1991. The pizzeria has two other locations in Troy and Albany.

"We are beyond excited to have the opportunity to operate at Indian Ladder Farms,” said Matthew DeFazio, owner of DeFazio’s Pizza. “We both learned from the generations before us that hard work and being a pillar of your community are two of the most important parts of a successful business. We look forward to being able to put another footprint in the Albany County region."

DeFazio's at the Pizza Garden will be open on Fridays (starting May 31) from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Indian Ladder Farms is located at 342 Altamont Road in Altamont.
