Del City man convicted of arson, making threats
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - A Del City man has been convicted by a federal jury of arson and making threats over the phone.
According to the United States Department of Justice, 42-year-old Allen Bullock has been convicted of arson and making threats regarding a fire set at an apartment on November 14, 2023.
The tenant of the apartment was not home and the fire was contained to the entrance of the apartment. After the Del City Fire Department put out the fire, the tenant told authorities he believed Bullock may have set the fire.
Officials say the victim was a coworker of Bullock's wife. He said Bullock called him a few hours before the fire and made multiple threats because the victim had given Bullock's wife a gift. Records show Bullock did call the victim several times the night of the fire, and an analysis of surveillance footage shows Bullock arriving at the victim's apartment complex shortly before the fire started. Footage also shows Bullock stopping at a gas station nearby to buy $.50 of gasoline minutes before the fire, and an expert testimony confirmed there was a presence of gas in the debris samples.
The Dept. of Justice says Bullock faces no less than five years and up to 25 years in federal prison, as well as fines up to $500,000.
