Celebrity Leeds United part owner Will Ferrell will not be at Sunday’s Championship playoff final against Southampton.

 

The Whites are due to lock horns with Southampton in a bid to see which team will book the final spot into next season’s Premier League.

 

Hollywood actor Ferrell recently invested in Leeds, becoming a part owner of the Yorkshire giants.

 

 

Ferrell will not be at Wembley to watch his club in action though, according to LeedsLive, with the actor missing the game.

 

He would see the value of his stake in Leeds skyrocket if the club can win promotion back to the Premier League.

 

 

Daniel Farke’s side finished third in the regular Championship season as they missed out on an automatic promotion spot.

 

Both Leeds and Southampton were relegated from the Premier League last season, but only one will return for next term.

 

 

Southampton beat Leeds both home and away in the regular Championship season.
