A fire in an apartment building in Hanoi, Vietnam, kills 14 people and injures 6
An overnight fire in an apartment building on a narrow alley in Vietnam’s capital has killed 14 people and injured six others. State media said firefighters had to contain the fire using hoses because the small alley in central Hanoi prevented access by firetrucks. The fire started in a small courtyard used as a garage for electric bikes. The charred remains of burnt motorbikes and plants and scattered belongings remained at the apartment. The building had 24 residents, including the owner's family and several tenants.
