Cher Gives Update on New Music With Boyfriend Alexander Edwards

Cher is dishing on making new music!

The 78-year-old living legend of an entertainer revealed in 2023 that she was going to make two new albums with boyfriend Alexander “A.E.” Edwards, and now she’s revealing an update on that process.

Cher has not released new music since her Christmas album in 2023, which marked her first original material in a decade.

While stepping out at the amfAR Gala at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, Cher talked about the new music.

“He and I are gonna start a new album,” she revealed. “We haven’t started yet; he’s going to produce it.”

Last year, she said she was excited about the music they were going to make.

“Some of the songs Alexander gave me, so I’m pretty excited about that. He’s a producer and a writer and he does everything, so I’m happy about that,” Cher shared. “I think like any artist, when you’ve got something good, you’re excited.”

If you didn’t know, Alexander is a music executive, and has previously produced music on Tyga‘s label, Last Kings Records.

Previously, Cher has opened up about the decades long age gap between her and Alexander.
