Arab Israeli singer Nasrin Kadri said Hamas terrorists who are shown in Wednesday’s newly released video abducting Israeli women on Oct. 7 are a “disgrace” to Islam.

Kadri, who converted to Judaism from Islam in 2018, took to Instagram late Wednesday to share her reaction to the new video of Hamas terrorists kidnapping and abusing five female Israeli soldiers from the Nahal Oz base in southern Israel, near the Gaza Strip.  The video, taken by body cameras worn by the terrorists themselves, was released by the families of the Israeli women shown in the clip, who remain held hostage for almost eight months. Dozens of Hamas terrorists are seen surrounding the five women, who have been identified as Naama Levy, Agam Berger, Daniela Gilboa, Liri Albag, and Karina Ariev.

“This is not religion. This is disgrace,” Kadri said in an Instagram video, responding to the Hamas clip. She added: “You’re abusing girls. Abusing their dignity. Where are the Arabic people? Look at yourself. Aren’t you ashamed? You speak about Islam. Is this Islam? Is this what you call Islam?”

Kadri then called on the world not to forget what the hostages are facing while in captivity, including sexual abuse. “These girls for [nearly] eight months haven’t seen their parents, they’ve been suffering … Wake up,” she said. “Wake up! Bring them home now.”

It has been well documented that Hamas perpetrated sexual violence, including mass rape, against Israeli civilians during its deadly massacre across southern Israel on Oct. 7. Former Israeli hostages taken by Hamas that day, who have since been released, previously detailed the sexual harassment and abuse they experienced. First responders and the Israel Defense Forces also found evidence showing that on Oct. 7, Hamas terrorists were given orders that permitted severe brutality of the hostages over time, including rape.

The organization Bring Them Home Now said the clip released on Wednesday of the Israeli hostages should be “a wake-up call” to the civilized world.

“We must condemn those actions and we cannot abandon the hostages held captive for 229 days,” the organization added. “The Israeli government and the international community can’t waste another moment — we must get back to the negotiation table today!”
