Freihofer’s to no longer sponsor Saratoga Jazz Festival

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- For 27 years, the annual Saratoga Jazz Festival at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) has been sponsored by Freihofer’s Baking Co. After the 2024 festival, the partnership will come to an end.

"The success of the festival and its prestige on the national stage is due, in part, to Freihofer’s steadfast support," said Elizabeth Sobol, President and CEO of SPAC. "The beloved bakery and its parent company Bimbo Bakeries USA have committed more than $2 million in sponsorship over the course of its 27 years of support."

A reason for the end of the sponsorship was not provided. In February, Freihofer’s pulled its name from the annual Run for Women in Albany, which was rebranded to The Delightful Run for Women, Presented by Sara Lee Bread. In March, Freihofer’s Bakery Outlets throughout New York closed, including in Albany, Schenectady, Queensbury, and Nelliston.

The 2024 Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival is set for June 29 and June 30. The festival features 22 musical groups over two days with performances beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday and 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. You can buy tickets on the SPAC website.
