Thomas Tuchel ‘is frontrunner for Man Utd job’ with Pochettino on shortlist with Ten Hag set for sack after FA Cup final
THOMAS TUCHEL is the leading candidate for the job at Manchester United, according to reports.
The Guardian have claimed that Tuchel, who has left his role as Bayern Munich boss, is the “frontrunner” for the manager’s role at Old Trafford.

It’s said that Tuchel fits the profile of manager that United are searching for thanks to his vast experience and tactical nous.
The German has taken charge of some of Europe’s biggest clubs including Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
During his time with Chelsea he led the Blues to Champions League glory in 2021.
Erik ten Hag still remains in place as the United boss for the time being but could face the sack after this weekend’s FA Cup final.
The Dutch tactician has struggled to steer the ship in what has been a turbulent campaign for the Red Devils.
But he has a chance to end the season on a high with a cup final win over neighbours Man City on Saturday.
A decision on Ten Hag’s future will reportedly be made following the Wembley bout, with new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe leading a team of bigwigs in identifying potential replacements for the 54-year-old.
Right-hand-man Sir Dave Brailsford, acting chief executive Jean Claude-Blanc, and new technical director Jason Wilcox are also part of the team looking for a new figure to fill the technical area at Old Trafford.

Newly unemployed Mauricio Pochettino is another name on the shortlist for the potential vacancy in Manchester.
While reports have suggested that Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna, England manager Gareth Southgate, and Brentford’s Thomas Frank are also on the shortlist.
Ten Hag led his United side to an eighth place finish in the league this season – losing 14 games and finishing on -1 goal difference.
He also saw his side crash out of the Champions League in the group stage after finishing rock bottom of their group, which featured Bayern Munich, Copenhagen and Galatasaray.
Pundits' verdict on Ten Hag's future
Where do the pundits stand on Erik ten Hag's Manchester United future?
Michael Owen – He has to go
“He cannot, simply cannot, manage this team next season. He’s not good enough.”
Teddy Sheringham – Might stay if he wins Cup but should go
“If United win the FA Cup, he could stay. But, for me, changes are needed and United need to get it done sooner than later.”
Jamie Carragher – Sacked
“I don’t see how Erik ten Hag stays. It’s just performance after performance.”
Gary Neville – Stay if he wins the FA Cup
“To sack a manager who’s won two trophies in his first two seasons at the club I think would be extreme.”
Louis Saha – On the fence
“I don’t see it as clearly but they need changes from the players but they need changes from him as well.”
Alan Shearer – Sacked
“I believe the future of the Man Utd manager is already determined. Even if they win the FA Cup I think he’s gone.”
