3 men face murder charges in rapper's Bronx pharmacy shooting

BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – Three men are facing murder charges related to the shooting death of a rapper back in 2022, and they’re expected to appear in a Bronx courtroom today. 

Isiah Garrett is accused of repeatedly shooting Avanti Frowner, who was known professionally as MoneyGangVontae. It happened inside a pharmacy on East Tremont Avenue.

The Los Angeles-based rapper was getting medication while in the city for a performance. Authorities say the incident started out as a robbery that escalated.

The two other suspects are also facing murder charges.
