We spotted some discounted swim-up rooms in Greece, Croatia, Turkey, Mexico and Thailand[/caption]

Swim-up rooms are typically associated with tropical resorts, but they’ve also become more popular in short-haul destinations.

For instance, we spotted some swim-up rooms in Greece, Croatia, and Turkey.

However, if you’re willing to travel further, you could also head to Thailand and Mexico.

An outdoor area connects the ground-floor rooms to the pool, so you can enter the water directly from your room at any time.

Some hotels even offer swim-up rooms on the first or second floor, with private or semi-private pools.

These rooms are great if you’re after some privacy, too. You should have some space to tan as well, so you won’t have to leave your room.

The cheapest price we’ve found is in Rhodes, Greece, for swim-up rooms, which cost from £386pp (discounted by £549pp).

The half-board deal is at the Kresten Palace Hotel in a fully renovated deluxe swim-up double room.

The room offers exclusive use of the swim-up pool area with a private furnished veranda with a panoramic sea view.

The only catch is that the package is in October, so you’ll have to wait a while before departing.

Rhodes still enjoys warm temperatures and more than 8 hours of sunshine in October, so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the pool.

Here are just a few more short-haul package deals in October:

  • 7 nights all-inclusive in a swim-up room at TUI BLUE Adriatic Beach in Makarska, Croatia – from £765pp
  • 7 nights all-inclusive in a swim-up room at Lyttos Beach in Crete, Greece – from £935pp

If you’re willing to travel further for somewhere more tropical, we’ve spotted an all-inclusive stay in Mexico in June from £1,102pp.

The deal includes your stay in a swim-up room at the Royalton Riviera Resort & Casino.

These are some other long-haul package holidays with flights and swim-up room stays:

  • 7 nights half-board in a swim-up room at JW Mariott Khao Lak Resort in Thailand – from £1,230pp
  • 7 nights all-inclusive in a swim-up room at El Dorado Seaside Suites in Riviera Maya, Mexico – from £1,299pp

If you don’t fancy booking a holiday package, Booking.com also has hotel-only deals.

For instance, we’ve spotted swim-up rooms costing from £58 per night in Thailand.

The cheap deal is available at the beachfront Panwaburi Resort – SHA Extra Plus.

Alternatively, for something closer, we’ve also found swim-up rooms in Turkey from £136 per night at the Mozaik Hotel in Oludeniz.

For more holiday inspiration, we found the Spanish hotel voted ‘best in the Mediterranean’ and dubbed a tropical paradise by fans.

Or the hotel in Rhodes voted ‘best in the world’ by TUI – with two infinity pools & is just one minute from the beach.

Meanwhile, the ‘most luxurious’ TUI Blue hotel has a 24-hour wine bar, huge swimming pools, and ultra-all-inclusive stays.

Prices correct at the time of publication.
