- A robotaxi appears to have been in the right place at the right time at around 2 a.m. Monday morning, when robbery suspects crashed a stolen vehicle into a Waymo, foiling their escape, police said.
- Police then found the suspects had crashed into a Waymo at Folsom and 14th streets near the Alphabet-owned firm’s robotaxi parking lot. They were caught after a brief foot chase. Waymo did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

- Developed by Harry Asada, professor of mechanical engineering at MIT
- Asada and his colleagues are designing a pair of wearable robotic limbs that can physically support an astronaut and lift them back on their feet after a fall. The system, which the researchers have dubbed Supernumerary Robotic Limbs or “SuperLimbs” is designed to extend from a backpack, which would also carry the astronaut’s life support system, along with the controller and motors to power the limbs.
