Five top directors will reveal secrets behind their projects when they join Gold Derby’s special “Meet the Experts” Q&A event with 2024 Emmy Awards and other TV awards contenders. They will participate in two video discussions to premiere on Wednesday, May 29, at 6:00 p.m. PT; 9:00 p.m. ET. Elsbeth

Synopsis: Elsbeth Tascioni, an unconventional attorney, gives her singular point of view to make observations to catch criminals alongside the NYPD.

Bio: Robert King was a four-time Emmy nominee for “The Good Wife.” Other projects have included “The Bite,” “Evil” and “The Good Fight.”

 I’m a Virgo

Synopsis: The coming-of-age joyride of Cootie, a 13-foot-tall man who escapes to experience the beauty and contradictions of the real world. He forms friendships, finds love, navigates awkward situations, and encounters his idol, The Hero.

Bio: Boots Riley was an Independent Spirit Awards winner for “Sorry to Bother You” and a nominee for “I’m a Virgo.”

Justified: City Primeval

Synopsis: Series based on Elmore Leonard’s novel “City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit” with the return of Timothy Olyphant as Marshal Raylan Givens.

Bio: Michael Dinner was an Emmy winner for “The Wonder Years” among his six career nominations for that show plus “Chicago Hope.” Other projects have included “Justified,” “Sneaky Pete” and Mayans M.C.”

Red, White and Royal Blue

Synopsis: When the feud between the son of the American President and Britain’s prince threatens to drive a wedge in U.S./British relations, the two are forced into a staged truce that sparks something deeper.

Bio: Matthew López’s career has also included “The Newsroom.”

Reservation Dogs

Synopsis: Comedy series about four Native American teenagers growing up on a reservation in eastern Oklahoma.

Bio: Sterlin Harjo’s career has included “Scalped,” “America Divided,” “Love and Fury” and “Gather.”
