Person struck by subway in Brooklyn; R train partially suspended: MTA
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A person was struck by a subway train in Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon, resulting in part of the R line being suspended, according to the MTA.
The individual was struck at 53rd Street, according to the MTA. R train service has been suspended in Brooklyn between 36th Street and Bay Ridge Avenue-95th Street.
The last stop on some southbound R trains will be Jay St-MetroTech, according to the MTA.
The N train will run via the D line between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and 36th Street in both directions. The last stop on some northbound N trains will be 8th Avenue.
For service between 36th Street and Bay Ridge-95th Street, the MTA recommends taking the B37 buses along 3rd Avenue or the B63 buses along 5th Avenue.
A person was also struck by a subway train in Queens Wednesday afternoon, causing delays on the No. 7 train, officials said.
