Hotel options for Belmont Week? What is available

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) - After it was announced that the Saratoga Race Course would host the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, there was an immediate uptick in calls and bookings. For last minute travelers looking for lodging, options are limited but still available.

"There are still rooms available contrary to what a lot of folks are saying,” said Darryl Leggieri, the president of Discover Saratoga.

At the Residence Inn by Marriott in Saratoga Springs, there are a handful of rooms still available on Saturday, June 8. They also have rooms available during the week and weekend of the historic event. General Manager Bob Herrold said they are offering the rooms at a price competitive with Travers weekend.

Racing fans looking for a luxurious lodging experience on June 8 can find hotel rooms still available at The Adelphi Hotel. According to General Manager Helen Watson, the rates for those rooms at this time range from $3,000-$4,000.

According to Leggieri, if you expand your search for a last-minute hotel room during the week of the festival you'll find options from Albany to Lake George.
