PASSENGERS on an Aer Lingus flight were left double-taking at a Hollywood A-lister who unexpectedly boarded the budget flight.

Stunned flyers could not believe their eyes as the acting superstar appeared to be going low-key for a short flight with his parents.

The star was none other than Will Ferrell[/caption]

Will Ferrell, known for his roles in Anchorman and Elf, was spotted by several passengers as he made his way from London to Dublin.

He appeared to shun a private jet or business class flight for the quick hop across the sea and instead was seated in an unreserved seat on the aircraft.

A number of passengers commented on his unlikely journey with some revealing that his parents were sat further up the aircraft in seats away from Will.

One Aer Lingus customer confirmed that Will was sat slap bang in the middle of two fellow passengers for the short-haul flight.

Writing online, they said: “On my London to Dublin @AerLingus flight this evening I was beside Will Ferrell.. in a s*** unreserved seat.”

They further went on to reveal: “I chatted him briefly on the way out as I’d worked with him on previous occasions here (about 6 and 16 years ago respectively) I just couldn’t get my head round the seat but imagine his inbound was delayed.”

Another person confirmed the validity of the story as they said: “I can confirm this as was on same flight.”

As another comment read: “I think his parents sat in the front row but you cannot book the middle seat there, and assume rest had already been booked.

“Very difficult for him to stay inconspicuous though.”

Will recently tied down some routes in the UK after he recently invested in Leeds United.

Will, who is worth around £127million, is already a co-owner of Los Angeles FC.

Leeds manager Daniel Farke welcomed news of Will’s involvement in the club.

He said: “We need each and every man; it’s always good!

“He’s a great actor and we are all happy that he is on board.

“It says a lot about the calibre of the club. We have many well known and popular supporters.”

Will is expected to watch the club in action at Wembley Stadium this weekend.

It is not yet clear if Aer Lingus will be flying him back to London from Dublin or if the multi-millionaire has splashed out on something a bit more fancy.
