Judge hears challenges to NYC's toll for drivers coming into Manhattan

NEW YORK CITY, New York: As New York City plans to begin collecting tolls on cars entering parts of congested Manhattan beginning June 30, a federal judge has begun hearing objections to the first-in-the-nation plan.

Last week, a Manhattan judge heard arguments in lawsuits brought by unionized public school teachers and other New Yorkers seeking to halt the plan, set to begin June 30.
