Report: Tottenham look set to miss out on two Premier League targets
Fabrizio Romano has handed Tottenham Hotspur a blow by revealing that Newcastle United are making progress in their efforts to land both Tosin Adarabioyo and Lloyd Kelly.
Both Kelly and Adarabioyo are expected to leave Bournemouth and Fulham respectively on free transfers this summer when their contracts end in June.
Tottenham are reportedly in the market for a centre-half this summer, with the Cherries and the Cottagers stars thought to be on the club’s wishlist (Football.London).
Over the last week, various outlets have handed Spurs a blow by suggesting that Kelly has already agreed terms with Newcastle over a summer move (Foot Mercato).
Meanwhile, some sources have also insisted over the last few days that Adarbioyo, who has a number of offers to choose from, is also leaning towards a move to St James’ Park (Journalist Craig Hope on his YouTube channel).
Newcastle are close to signing Kelly and Adarabioyo
Romano has now handed Spurs a blow by stating that the Magpies ‘keep advancing’ in their efforts to sign the two English defenders.
He tweeted: ‘Newcastle keep advancing to sign both Lloyd Kelly and Tosin Adarabioyo as free agents, almost there.’
Spurs Web Opinion
This news certainly does not come as a surprise as both Adarabioyo and Kelly would feel that they have a better shot at being regular starters at Newcastle than they would at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
