SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Schenectady man will serve prison time after pocketing sales tax money at his cell phone repair store for several years. Elvin Singh, 37, previously entered a guilty plea in the case.

According to the Schenectady County District Attorney's Office, Singh pocketed sales tax money from his customers at his phone repair store. After a search warrant was executed at his store and home, authorities say hundreds of counterfeit products were seized, as well as $40,000 cash and an illegal gun.

Singh will face two years for the weapons conviction, and one to three years for the tax fraud conviction.
