Woman stabbed outside busy primary school screamed ‘help me, I’m losing blood’ after man ‘chased her down street’

A WOMAN screamed in terror “help me, help me, I’m losing blood” after a man stabbed her outside a primary school.

The brutal onslaught unfolded in front of horrified children at Beech Hill Primary School in Luton at around 8.30am yesterday.

It is understood the victim was callously targeted after dropping her kids off and chased down the street.

Witnesses described the violent scene and claimed a man grabbed her by the throat and repeatedly knifed her “all over her body”.

Witness

One recalled her chilling screams as she cried: “Help me, help me, I’m losing blood,” as reported by the MailOnline.

Another recounted the “horrific” and “brutal” attack.

After “chasing” the woman, “he then stabbed her several times all over her body”, claimed the witness.

One woman said she saw the victim lying on the pavement and alleged: “She was attacked just after she’d dropped them [her children] off.”

Emergency services raced the woman to hospital with serious injuries.

ARREST MADE

A forensic tent was set up as officers cordoned off the area to begin their investigation.

A heavy police presence remained nearby and Beech Hill school was put on lock down as a “precautionary measure”.

The force arrested a man after the shock stabbing and he remains in police custody.

Bedfordshire Police also confirmed the woman remains in hospital.

Police statement in full

A force spokesman stated yesterday: “Bedfordshire Police is investigating the stabbing of a woman near a school in Dunstable Road, Luton shortly after 8.30am this morning.

“The victim has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. One man has been arrested and is currently in police custody

“All children are safe within the school and there is no wider threat to the public. Police will maintain a strong presence in the area for reassurance.”

‘PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE’

A school spokesperson added: “Bedfordshire Police is investigating the stabbing of a woman near the school in Dunstable Road.

“Following the incident, the school was on lockdown for approximately one hour, purely as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children and staff.

Parents have been advised of the incident and emotional support is available to all children and staff who may require it.”
