Taylor Swift (‘Tortured Poets’) spends 4th week on top of Billboard 200, well ahead of Gunna (‘One of Wun’) at #2
Taylor Swift is not letting go of the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart, settling in at number-one for a fourth week, and judging from her minuscule week-to-week dip, she may stay in the upper echelons for quite a while. “The Tortured Poets Department” was down just eight-percent to achieve 260,000 equivalent album units based on its combined record sales, individual track sales and online streams. Swift’s total was almost triple the number racked up by this week’s second-place collection: rapper Gunna‘s “One of Wun” with 91,000 units. That was actually a step up from Gunna’s last studio album, “A Gift and a Curse,” which launched less than a year ago with 85,000 units. Then holding steady at number-three this week was Morgan Wallen‘s “One Thing at a Time,” up seven-percent to 75,000 units. Metro Boomin and Future‘s collaboration “We Don’t Trust You” held on to the number-four spot with 53,000 units. And Wallen rounded out the top five with his last album, 2021’s “Dangerous,” with 44,000 units.
In our weekly Billboard 200 predictions contest, most of our users correctly predicted “Tortured Poets Department” at number-one, though we underestimated how many units it would earn: the majority of game players had it somewhere between 100,000 and 200,000. Our consensus was also right that “One of Wun” would be number-two and “One Thing at a Time” would be number-three. But only 10 people anticipated “We Don’t Trust You” coming in fourth place. And literally nobody expected that “Dangerous” would rebound into the top five. Ultimately, though, one user was able to correctly answer five of the six prediction questions this week.
