Energy firm bosses dish out scathing staff reviews from treehouse – before telling them to exit via slide
HIPSTER bosses at energy firm OVO have been dishing out scathing performance reviews in a treehouse — then telling the staff to exit down a tubular slide.
Rivergate Treehouse, a 15ft-high structure, was put up in the foyer of the trendy HQ to “create a fun meeting space and striking centrepiece”.

Former worker Ash Maller claimed that he was given a “passive-aggressive telling off” inside the hut.
In his case, it was the manager who slid back down to ground level.
Ash added: “It was very infantilising, very patronising, and a bit culty.”
The Bristol office is beloved by Gen Z workers for its quirky approach, including holding motivational talks in the foyer.
OVO enlisted a swanky architecture firm, Nudge Architects, to build the costly treehouse.
A spokesman insisted: “It is absolutely not company policy to do performance reviews in the treehouse.”
It comes after the energy firm came under fire for slashing 1,700 jobs.
