Vermonter arrested after domestic incident
ARLINGTON, Vt. (NEWS10) -- An Arlington, Vermont man was arrested Sunday morning following a domestic incident in Arlington. Samuel Carpenter, 29, faces several charges.
On Sunday, around 9:07 a.m., Vermont State Police responded to East Arlington Road for a reported domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, police say a physical altercation took place between Carpenter and one victim, and he left the scene on foot.
Additionally, Carpenter is accused of stealing the victim's debit card and cash. The investigation later found Carpenter caused bodily injury to the victim and illegally possessed the debit card.
Carpenter was found in a wooded area near a home off School Street in Arlington. Police say a minor struggle occurred with troopers upon his arrest. He was quickly taken into custody after.

- Identity theft
- Resisting arrest
Carpenter was processed at the Shaftsbury Barracks. He was released on conditions of release and is set to return to court on Monday.
