Colonie man accused of possessing child sex abuse images

COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Colonie man was arrested on Wednesday and is accused of possessing child sex abuse images. Evan Czolowski, 22, faces multiple charges.

According to New York State Police, an investigation began after a cyber tip was received through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at a Colonie home. Czolowski is accused of promoting and possessing images of child sexual exploitation.

Charges:

• Promoting a sexual performance by a child
• Possessing a sexual performance by a child

Czolowski was taken to Latham State Police where he was arrested and processed. He was given an appearance ticket to return to the Colonie Town Court on May 29 and was released.
