Man hospitalized following shooting in Hartford

A man was taken to the hospital after being shot in Hartford on Sunday night.

Police learned of the shooting through a ShotSpotter notification at 8:45 p.m. in the 700 block of Park Street, according to a statement issued by Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department.

Officers responded to the area and found a man in his 20s suffering from a single gunshot wound, Boisvert said. He was taken to an area hospital and treated for the injury, which was not considered life-threatening.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crimes Scene Divisions responded and assumed the investigation.
