She is a regular behind-the-scenes face on movie sets like Zendaya’s Challengers or Beyoncé’s 2018 iconic Coachella headliner performance.
Kimble is always in the news and always in demand.
Now, she has made it more accessible than ever to get Hollywood-style hair for a fraction of the cost with her new collection of wigs with hair goods brand HAIRUWEAR.
When she did the collaboration, she said she wanted it to be catered toward people who want to get “that look” but don’t know how to work with wigs.
“First of all, they have the textures that match your hair, you have colors that match. There’s a lace front on it that is easy to blend,” she explained.
LOCK LESSONS
Kimble has specific methods to make sure her wigs are secure and extensions look natural, but she was wary of revealing them at first.
“People pay good money to learn those things,” she said.
But she emphasized the importance of using the right products in conjunction with the right techniques to lay them flat.
“We want to make sure you find the hair that blends, that’s matching, that fits you. If you can’t do it, you can have a stylist to help figure that out,” she advised.
STAY PUT
Kimble shared how she makes sure wigs stay on in many different environments, from on set to red carpets to backstage moments.
“Have the hair braided underneath [to make it] easy because you want to get it nice and flat,” she said.
“You want to make sure that it’s secured properly onto them.”
She added that edge control is good for blending extensions, but using glue is more difficult.
“If people don’t properly apply that, they’re going to have tremendous hair issues, not just hair loss issues,” she warned.
That is why she is cautious about telling people to put glue in their hair.
Kimble also said shine sprays and wax sticks are also good options to take care of any flyaways and blend any strands into extensions.
MAJOR MYTHS
Kimble, who previously spoke with The U.S. Sun about styling Beyoncé, debunked a few hair hacks that may actually be a waste of money and could even damage your follicles.
Two “always risky” moves she advised against are trying to chemically color or straighten your hair with relaxer.
There’s multiple reasons why they could be losing their hair. I always send them to a dermatologist first.

A relaxer is a type of lotion or cream generally used by people with tight curls or very curly locks. It straightens their hair from root to tip.
“You can color a little more easily if you have the proper structure and you consult with your stylist or you have a kit that’s easy to put together,” she said.
She recently launched her wig collaboration with HAIRUWEAR[/caption]“People have gotten bald from the front and the back because it pulled out their hair.”
Kimble also said to be mindful of “YouTube University” because the social media platform is both a gift and a curse filled with helpful tools but also misinformation.
“I wouldn’t always trust what I see on YouTube,” she said.
When it comes to wigs and extensions, you should have a specific shampoo and conditioner because extensions are not like natural hair.

She admires people who want to learn how to work with their natural hair but advises them to check out multiple sources.
“You can get all kinds of scalp diseases if you don’t really understand how to use something or what to do,” she explained.
COMBAT HAIR LOSS
“There are multiple reasons why they could be losing their hair. I always send them to a dermatologist first,” she said.
Kimble said there could be many reasons why someone’s locks are shedding such as scalp issues, scalp disease, or a deficiency.
“It’s not always something that’s easy to point out and figure out, so I always recommend to do that first,” she added.
“In the meantime, you can treat yourself with biotin and collagen,” she recommended.
She also advised against excessive heat use and investing in protective hairstyles, which is exactly where wigs come in as an asset.

The price range for Kimble’s wigs in her recent hair collaboration starts at $199 and goes all the way up to $469.
Kimble wanted affordability and quality to be a priority when developing her wig line.
Previously, when people came into her salon, there was a long process to create the type of extensions for the wig they wanted.
First, they picked a custom color and cut and then went to the salon to wash and set it.
Kimble was the lead hair stylist for Zendaya in the tennis movie Challengers[/caption]With the wigs already developed, it eliminates that step, and she also provides maintenance products so it stays vibrant.
“When it comes to wigs and extensions, you should have a specific shampoo and conditioner because extensions are not like natural hair,” the stylist said.
“Oil travels down the hair shaft. It doesn’t do that on wigs and extensions.”
She said sulfate-free shampoos and detangling conditioners are “really good” when it comes to extensions and wigs.
She recommends the Extension Care shampoo and conditioner from her signature collection, which are both affordable buys under $30.
“We made one that works for extensions that work for me because we specialize in extensions in our salon,” she explained.
“Conditioner is really nice to just be detangling and light and not the main, but also the shampoo is most important because we don’t want our shampoo to split the hair,” she said.
