NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Grammy-award-winning indie rock group Vampire Weekend is the latest band to receive a commemorative MetroCard, the MTA announced on Sunday.

The MetroCards, created in collaboration with Columbia Records, support the band's latest studio effort, "Only God Was Above Us." The MTA will produce 60,000 limited cards available at Manhattan stations.

Vampire Weekend MetroCards will be available starting Monday at:

  • 14th Street–Union Square station
  • Grand Central–42nd Street station

On Thursday, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced the end of an era, revealing that it would only create two more "collectible MetroCards." The Vampire Weekend commemorative release is not one of the final two limited-edition MetroCards, officials said.
