Rosendale man pleads guilty to ghost gun possession

KINGSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Rosendale man pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal possession of a weapon on May 7. Adam Kopoulos, 34, was accused of having a loaded and operable privately manufactured gun, known as a ghost gun.

Kopoulos was arrested on March 2, 2023, following an investigation into a 911 call about a car on Lucas Avenue. The investigation led to the recovery of the ghost gun and fentanyl, according to the Ulster County District Attorney's Office.

The plea came after the ruling that the evidence found during the investigation would be used in a jury trial. His sentencing is scheduled for July 29.
